JUAN FERNANDO MONTOYA JOINS BOSCH COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS AS SALES MANAGER, SOUTH & CENTRAL AMERICA

Bosch Communications Systems welcomes Juan Fernando Montoya to his new position as Sales Manager for South and Central America, effective September 1st, 2007

A self-proclaimed audio and technology fanatic, Montoya brings over 15 years of system design experience—in both the pro audio and high-end home audio worlds—to his new position.

“Juan’s comprehensive experience and training in multiple areas of audio will prove invaluable as we address new concepts in systems integration with new technologies,” says Thomas Hansen, VP Sales, The Americas, Bosch Communications Systems. “The emerging markets in Juan’s territory offer many exciting opportunities as our brands continue to grow under the Bosch banner, and we are extremely proud to have him onboard.”

In addition to his audio expertise, Montoya’s degree in Business Administration stands him in good stead at the business end of his new position. For the past decade, Montoya was General and Strategic Manager for Almacenes La Cita, an audio distributor and integrator.

“From a commercial standpoint, this experience gives Juan a panoramic view of the needs and opportunities in the emerging markets he will supervise,” says Franck Fabry, Director of Americas Export Sales, Bosch Communications Systems. “This administrative experience also proved Juan’s ability to create recognition, pushing brands in new markets through effective marketing strategies—another skill that is key to his new position.”

Thanks to this background in different fields, Montoya knows how to combine the commercial and technical aspects of the pro audio business. His technical emphasis has been broad in many areas; among his many designs are zoned distributed audio, emergency and evacuation systems, and paging systems for large recreational parks, offices, malls, convention centers, transport terminals, mass transit systems, hotels, and many other applications. Likewise, Montoya has been consulted by important rental houses in their designs for world-class events. His designs also include fixed installation acoustic systems for houses of worship, auditoriums, theaters, and conference rooms. He has also created systems for high profile clubs, discos and restaurants.

Montoya is certified in IRIS-Net, ProAnnounce, Media Matrix, Venas, and SX1000 Matrix. This, along with his experience in Creston and AMX control systems, certification in CUE control systems and in basic video systems, allows him to look at business and his customers’ needs in a holistic way.
